Deputy Director, Resource Mobilisation & Partnerships

a) Job Specification

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Coordinating the development, implementation and review the Fund’s resource Mobilisation strategy;
  • Lead Implementation of policies and programmes for resource Mobilisation;
  • Coordinate strategic linkages to support tourism and hospitality institutions;
  • Assist in the development of proposals for funding of tourism and hospitality related activities;
  • Coordinate resource Mobilisation activities;
  • liaise with identified donors, public and private partners for development and funding of strategic projects, programs, tourism products and services;
  • Lead in the identification of partnerships and prospective source of funds;
  • Coordinate engagement of the county governments towards the development of tourism products and services;
  • Leading monitoring and evaluation of TFs projects;
  • Spearhead implementation of tourism products and services support initiatives;
  • Develop fund raising programs to solicit for funds and other assistance to promote the object for which the Fund is established, and;
  • Account for received gifts, donations, grants or endowments made to the Fund.
  1. b) Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: –

  • At least ten (10) years’ experience in resource mobilisation & partnerships with at least five (5) years as middle level management,
  • Bachelors degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Law or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Masters degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Law or equivalent from a recognized institution.
  • Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution
  • Debt Management Training not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution.
  • Investigation course not less than two (2) weeks from a recognized institution
  • Membership to a professional body where applicable
  • Proficiency in Computer applications
  • Meets the requirements of chapter six of the constitution
