Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:
- Formulating and implementing ICT policies, procedures and systems;
- Planning, designing, implementing and aligning ICT strategies;
- Coordinating the designing, development and maintenance of network infrastructure and services;
- Overseeing the Fund’s intranet and internet services;
- Advising management on institutionalization of effective ICT governance structures;
- Advising on the specifications and standards in the procurement of ICT software and equipment;
- Planning, developing, reviewing and implementing ICT business continuity and disaster recovery strategy;
- Researching on emerging ICT trends;
- Ensuring compliance with established ICT standards, procedures and regulations;
- Updating the Fund’s website;
- Oversee the provision of technical support services and training to computer users;
- Reviewing results of ICT feasibility studies and recommending on best practices;
- Planning and budgeting for the Department; and
- Undertaking risk mitigation in the Department.
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:
- At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, of which five (5) years must have been in a supervisory position;
- Bachelors’ degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Masters’ degree in any of the following fields: Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Professional qualifications in either of the following areas: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Certified Information System Management (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), or equivalent Database Management skills (MSSQL/ORACLE/MYSQL) Web development certifications (PHP, HTML, ASP) or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution;
- Membership to a professional body where applicable and in good standing;
- Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in computer applications; and
- Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution.
